Home Theater Lighting
Many game rooms also include a home theater area. You found the perfect flat screen TV for watching your favorite movies and shows, as well as playing the latest releases on your favorite gaming console. When lighting this part of the room, it’s important to keep both comfort and functionality in mind at all times.
You don’t want any glare on the TV screen, so hanging fixtures are probably not an option. Recessed lights can be a great alternative, since they provide the light you need without protruding into the room. There won’t be any glare, and you can set the recessed fixtures where you want them with a dimmer switch.
For your home theater seating, add a few table and floor lamps. You probably have a few end tables for drinks and snacks, giving you a prime spot for lamps. You can turn these lamps on or off depending on the time of day and whether or not you want the lights off while you watch a movie.
